I think my dogs are trying to dig a hole to China. They keep choosing different spots in the front yard but they keep digging. One or two of the holes are well over a foot deep. I don't know what they are really after - we don't have any moles and when Markie actually corners or finds something she does her hound dog yodel and she hasn't been doing that. The holes in the yard are a nuisance and all the mud and dirt that the pups have on their paws and noses has to be wiped off before they can come in the house.
We've gotten the construction drawings from the architect. There are several things we need to change in the drawings such as no soffits in the kitchen and no pendant lamps over the cook top - they'll get too dirty. Now to meet with bulders and to get some cost estimates. I don't know when we'll actually get this project underway. There are four basic parts 1) turning the carport into a garage, 2) taking out part of the living room ceiling and roof and putting in sky lights, 3) turning the breezeway into a greenhouse, and 4) the kitchen renovation. It should be a fun and busy undertaking. It'll be a lot of work but hopefully the results will be really nice - if we can ever get started.......
